22 Jun SS16; Latest in Summer Fashion Trends
Hey, is that the sun we see!? Here at Vita Hair & Beauty we’re already getting pumped for beach season and planning day trips to the coast. SS16 has seen a return to classic trends with a modern twist; everything from pin-up one pieces to elegant maxi dresses. The fashion magazines have got it bang on once again – and we’ve found some of the best high street pieces so you can enjoy the latest Summer fashion and make the most of the sun without spending hours hunting for that one perfect look! And best of all, many of these shops are just a few minutes away from our location in Earls Court.
One-piece vs Bikini
Up until now Summer fashion was all about the skin; showing off in skimpy bikinis whilst frolicking in the waves. Nothing against bikinis, but this season has seen the return of the one-piece; we’re back to classic beauty, in a big way. But this doesn’t mean that there certainly aren’t some beautiful modern versions – check out our favourite new one-pieces that are just as gorgeous – if not more – than the ever-popular bikini.
Maxi dresses; day to evening
Packing light; one of life’s greatest difficulties! It’s definitely a huge help when a piece of clothing can be so incredibly versatile. The maxi dress is here to stay and there’s no denying that it can certainly be easily transformed with accessories and other items of clothing that it’s worn with. We’ve found some of the best maxi dresses that can transition from Summer daywear (even beachwear!) to eveningwear flawlessly. Just swap the sandals for pumps or heels, sweep off that sand and add a few bits of sparkle…easy!
Head-to-toe in clashing prints; you can get away with it in the Summer. Especially on the beach. There’s been an insane amount of gorgeous designs this Summer fashion season, with everything from floral pastels to aztec prints in sunset hues. Mixing and matching pieces that may not initially seem like they’d go together can result in some seriously stunning statement outfits.

However, don’t fret if you’re not big on colours; muted tones and monochrome can work in the Summer months too. Linen trousers and light blouses in chic cuts, all in various shades of creams, greys and pale blues are dominating the shelves at the moment. Paler or simpler colours can have just as much an impact as the brighter patterns. At Vita Hair & Beauty, we do have a big problem with the fashion this year…there’s just too much choice! Can we have it all please?
