Following the London Fashion Week industry event (that we desperately wish we could go to!) there’s the ever-popular London Fashion Weekend which is open to the public, for anyone that wants a sneak peek at the brand new fashion trends and discounted luxury shopping. Branded as London’s biggest fashion pop-up, the event has recently moved to our neck of the woods and is hosted by the stunning Saatchi Gallery which provides the perfect atmosphere for it. From £20 you can feel like a fashion insider; receive early access to designers new collections, catch the latest trends (both high street and designer) on the catwalk, get a makeover at the various pop up salons, attend industry talks and panels from designers, photographers, and models, and soak up everything that the London fashion scene has to offer.  Not to mention – certain tickets come with a uniquely designed tote bag crammed full of fashion and beauty goodies – what’s not to love!? Under The Apple Tree Roots Festival

Enjoy the last of the Summer festivals with ‘Under The Apple Tree Roots’ Festival on Saturday 10th September. A folk festival created and curated by Whispering Bob Harris himself who created the Under The Apple Tree music sessions, this event is perfect for those looking to unwind and explore the best folk music that London has to offer. Held at the prestigious Cadogan Hall, the festival promises to be a beautiful, intimate event presented in a charming and friendly atmosphere. Headliners include Patty Griffin, Ward Thomas, Scott Matthews, The Lake Poets, and Judith Owen. For a full day of tunes a ticket is only £45, grab one while there’s still some left!

You Say You Want A Revolution?

A thrilling new exhibition is to be launched this month at the V&A museum. It’s only on for a few months, and you definitely don’t want to miss this one. ‘You Say You Want A Revolution?’ exhibition focuses on the finished and unfinished revolutions of the late 1960s and how they’ve changed the way we live today and the lasting impact they’ve had on our society. The exhibition explores the impact of this era through music, performance, fashion, film, design and political activism – so there’s truly something that appeals to everyone. Highlights include an original ‘Acid Test’ poster by Wes Wilson, Campbell’s ‘Souper’ Dress, and films of Woodstock performances. Tickets are £16 and it’s recommended you book in advance, because from the looks of things this exhibition will be selling out fast.

Children’s Discovery Days in the Quentin Blake Library

This is one for the kids – or those of us who are still children deep down, and love a good story. The Institut Francais is hosting a range of ‘Discovery Days’ free activities in the Bibliotheque Quentin Blake to celebrate it’s opening (12th Sept), from 15th September to the 18th. There are different activities on daily, with everything from storytelling sessions and film screenings, to digital drawing classes. Channel your imagination, and if you’re feeling extra energetic there’s even a treasure hunt and board game frenzy event designed to help you with strategising techniques and teamwork. Who says stories are just for kids!? Book now to avoid being disappointed.

 RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Now this may not be on for quite a few months, but as one of the most popular events in Chelsea we felt it was worth mentioning that tickets have now been released. Prices start at £27 for members – don’t all rush at once!

Will you be attending any of these fun events? We’d love to hear about it if you do, and hopefully we’ll see you there! Tag us in your photos – we can’t wait to see what you get up to.
